Alongside our standard areas of memorial work we have also undertaken some interesting commissions over the years including:
John Smedley Limited
Lea Bridge, Derbyshire – we re-gilded the logo which is situated on a bridge. This company makes high quality knitwear and is the oldest factory of this type in the world.
War Graves Commission
Middleton, where we are based, is historic for Hopton Wood Stone and much of this was used for war graves. Over the years we have undertaken a variety of work for the Commission so our stones are now in many a foreign field.
National Memorial Arboretum
We’ve worked at this stunning site and it’s certainly worth a visit to see the variety of statues and memorials.
The Normandy Veterans Association
We were commissioned to produce a memorial which is situated in a private garden. Lawrence Petts (grandfather of the current owner) carved the memorial, a proud moment for him as he himself was a Normandy Veteran and the Queen unveiled the memorial.
